Computex 2025: The Coolest Gadgets and Innovations You Can Expect Soon
Computex 2025 has wrapped up, leaving tech enthusiasts buzzing with excitement. From groundbreaking GPUs to innovative peripherals and even budget-friendly smart rings, the Taipei-based expo showcased a glimpse into the future of computing. Let's dive into the top gadgets and innovations that stole the show.

Nvidia and AMD Battle for GPU Supremacy
The graphics card arena saw fierce competition, with both Nvidia and AMD unveiling their latest offerings. Nvidia announced the GeForce RTX 5060 series, built on the Blackwell architecture, aiming for a competitive price point. Meanwhile, AMD countered with the Radeon RX 9060 XT series, promising to deliver value in the mid-range segment. The 9060 XT is set to launch soon, offering both 8GB and 16GB versions.

AMD also reinforced its dominance in the workstation processor market with the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series, boasting up to 96 cores and 192 threads, promising a 2.2X performance boost over Intel's fastest chips. The flagship Ryzen 9 9995WX will sport a blistering 5.4 GHz boost clock.
Beyond Laptops: Unique Peripherals and Handhelds
Computex wasn't just about raw power. Asus caught attention with its ROG Falcata, a split keyboard designed for gamers seeking more mouse space and ergonomic comfort. The wireless keyboard features magnetic switches and can be detached for optimal positioning.

Gaming handhelds also leveled up, with MSI showcasing the Claw A8 with AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme. This handheld boasts a built-in camera, microphone, a vibrant color palette, and targets best-in-class performance with plenty of RAM and a large 80Wh battery -- a direct competitor to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
Acer is entering the fray by launching its own more budget-friendly smart ring, the FreeSense Smart Ring, for only $199. The ring is titanium and has no suscription, but shows key health data that competitors offer, such as heart rate, blood oxygen levels and sleep quality.
SSDs Get Faster and More Efficient
Phison is pushing the boundaries of SSD performance with its E28 SSD controller. Using a smaller 6nm process node, the E28 achieves significant efficiency gains, enabling PCIe 5.0 SSDs to finally make their way into mainstream laptops. Expect sequential read/write performance up to 14.8 GB/s and 2.5 / 3.0 million random read/write IOPS.
Crucial announced that it will begin shipping an upgrade to its current fastest SSD that it is calling the T71. The new model is expected to see a major boost in random reads and writes. However, since the chip will be on only one side instead of two, it can be used in more laptops and will use about 70% less power per IOPS random read and random write.
The Creative and the Quirky
Among the sea of components, some products stood out for their creativity and unique designs. Asus's ProArt RTX 5080, designed for creatives, featured a woodgrain finish and even included an M.2 slot for PCIe 5 SSDs. And for those nostalgic for the 80s, SilverStone's FLP02 case brought back the beige aesthetic of classic PCs, complete with floppy drive bay covers and a turbo button.

Computex 2025 offered a glimpse into the exciting future of technology. From powerful GPUs and efficient SSDs to innovative peripherals and unique designs, the expo showcased the relentless pursuit of innovation in the tech world.
