Introducing Zelda Notes: A New Dimension of Exploration
Beyond graphical enhancements, Nintendo introduces Zelda Notes, an integrated feature within the Nintendo Switch app that forges deeper connections with the game world and other players. This free feature includes features such as:
- Voice Memories: Gain insights from characters as you explore Hyrule.
- Navigation: Real-time guidance to elusive Koroks and shrines
- Blueprint Sharing: Share Ultrahand creations via QR codes
- Play Data: See detailed play session information and earn in-game badges.

More Zelda Games to Come
Two more Zelda titles, Link’s Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom will get free patches for the Switch 2 so that they will have Optimized resolution, enhanced textures and full HDR implementation. The Wind Waker will also be returning through the GameCube library in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment: A Brand New Prequel
Dive deeper into Hyrule's history with Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, a prequel set before the events of BOTW and TOTK. Encounter playable characters like Princess Zelda and King Rauru in large-scale battles against Ganondorf’s ancient army.
From Console to Cinema: Zelda Heads to Hollywood
The Zelda universe is expanding beyond consoles! A live-action Zelda movie, produced in collaboration with Sony Pictures and directed by Wes Ball, is slated for March 2027. This project aims to capture the mythic essence of Hyrule for a global audience, potentially emulating the success of the Super Mario Bros. Movie.

New Amiibo figures based on Tears of the Kingdom characters are on their way, unlocking exclusive in-game items. Exclusive Zelda apparel, figures, and artwork will also be available at the Nintendo San Francisco Store. The Nintendo Music app recently added the full Legend of Zelda (NES) soundtrack.
