Schedule 1: Addictive Drug-Dealing Sim Gets Major Update, Fixes and Tweaks Gameplay

Schedule 1, the single-player drug-dealing simulation game, has just received a significant update, and players are raving about the improvements! This unexpected gem is quickly becoming a favorite among simulation enthusiasts. Let's dive into what makes this update so special and why players are calling it a 10/10 experience.

The latest patch, v0.3.4f8, released on April 19, brings a host of bug fixes and gameplay enhancements that address player concerns. Tyler, the developer, announced the update on Steam, teasing even more refinements in the coming weeks, including a new property and a purchasable radio object.

What's New in the Update?

Beyond the expected bug fixes, the update introduces minor additions that enhance the game experience. Notably, the design of the 'Cuke' beverage has been revamped, moving away from a Coca-Cola-inspired look to an orange can with light orange bubbles. The update also streamlines the feedback process by removing the optional email from the feedback form and consolidating various entities into larger combined files to minimize clutter and reduce the risk of in-game bugs.

Major Bug Fixes

Several critical bugs have been squashed in this update, including:

  • Chemists rendering cauldrons unusable.
  • Botanists causing drying racks to become unusable.
  • NPC summoning issues at Mick's house.
  • Problems with Mick's schedule, preventing him from appearing at the Pawn Shop.
  • The first 'escape' button click being ignored.
  • OG Kush being mistakenly listed for sale by default in a fresh save.
  • Save game version label alignment issues.
  • Items persisting across different saves files.
  • ATM/Vending machine becoming unusable after exiting and reloading the game.

Faster Repairs for Broken Machines

Perhaps one of the most appreciated changes is the reduced repair time for broken vending machines and ATMs. Previously, players had to wait two in-game days for these machines to be fixed after smashing them with a baseball bat for some quick cash ($80 from ATMs, $40 from Cuke machines). Now, a single sleep is all it takes for the machines to be up and running again, making this exploit much more efficient.

Initial Impressions: Addictive Gameplay

"Schedule I is as addictive as every Class A drug available," exclaims one reviewer. The game's surprisingly simple mechanics allow players to dive right into the world of drug dealing. Manage your time, cultivate plants, cook meth, and expand your empire, all while avoiding the police. The game's uncomfortable setting might be off-putting to some, but once you embrace the virtual grime, you'll find yourself hooked.

Future Content and Improvements

Developer Tyler has promised even more content and improvements in the future, ensuring that Schedule 1 will continue to evolve and captivate players. With its unique blend of simulation and dark humor, Schedule 1 is quickly becoming a must-play title for anyone looking for a quirky and addictive gaming experience.
