Halo Infinite’s Summer Update: Mutilator Weapon, New Firefight Mode, and More!
Get ready, Spartans! Halo Infinite is heating up with the Summer Update 2025, kicking off with Operation: Last Stand. Prepare for a wave of new content, including a devastating new weapon, an engaging Firefight experience, and a wealth of customization options.

Operation: Last Stand (May 6 - June 10) marks the beginning of a jam-packed summer, followed by Operation: Legacy (June 10) and Operation: Reclaimer (July 8). Each operation will feature a 50-tier Premium Operation Pass, offering unlockable armor and plenty of rewards.
The highlight of Operation: Last Stand is undoubtedly the Mutilator. This double-barreled powerhouse boasts a Gravity Hammer at its business end. Unleash single shells or unleash a devastating twofer in alt-fire mode. The Mutilator will be available in Mutilator Madness, a new Juggernaut variant, and can also be found as a power weapon on maps, added to custom matches, or spawned in Forge.
"Long rumored, and ever feared: the mighty Mutilator is finally here!" as the Halo team exclaimed, emphasizing the weapon's anticipated arrival.
Speaking of customization, the 50-tier Premium Pass offers a plethora of options. Unlock four full armor sets: SECOPS, Raider, EVA GEN1, and Scarred Comet. The free 20-tier reward track gives access to the SECOPS armor set and Spartan Points.

Prepare for Firefight: Battle of the Academy, a new linear Firefight experience where you'll defend the Spartan Academy from a Banished onslaught. Secure objectives and protect humanity's secrets!
The Summer Update also brings sandbox updates, including sniper ricochets. Bullets fired from the S7 Sniper Rifle and Flexfire Sniper will now ricochet off terrain. Get ready for those bank shots! Furthermore, improved perfect kill tracking will display a star in the Event Feed for those precision kills.
Forge enthusiasts will enjoy updated nodegraph elements, including Set Object Team nodes and Spawn Order nodes, expanding the possibilities for custom maps and modes.

The Exchange is also getting a revamp with added folders for easier customization discovery. Find items by type, including helmets, body attachments, visors, and more. Spartan Points can now be purchased using Shop Credits or currency for added convenience.
Finally, the developers are teasing the release of Ranked S&D Extraction mode sometime this summer. Featuring a map economy, purchasing weapons, and Equipment, players will go head to head to see who can extract successfully on the 4v4 map.
With a wealth of new content and updates, the Halo Infinite Summer Update 2025 promises an exciting season for Spartans everywhere. Which aspect of Operation: Last Stand are you most looking forward to? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
