After more than a decade since the original captivated players, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is finally making its grand entrance! Level-5's beloved RPG/life-simulator hybrid is set to launch on May 21, 2025, simultaneously worldwide, and this time, it's not just for Nintendo Switch.

Prepare to dive into a world of adventure and creation as you assist an archaeologist and uncover the mysteries of a ruined village. Attacked by a dark dragon, you'll gain the power to travel through time, venturing back to when the kingdom was thriving. It's up to you to master various jobs, known as "Lives," and save the kingdom from a looming threat.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time places a heavy emphasis on time travel as you help rebuild a ruined village. Master various jobs and help save the kingdom from a danger that hasn’t arrived yet.

The game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch, ensuring that no one misses out on this highly anticipated sequel. Nintendo's eShop listing reveals an estimated file size of 6GB for the Switch version, keep in mind that this is a subject to change and updates may eat up the space in the future. Level-5 is expanding the platforms it will be available on, with versions coming out for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5 as well as the Nintendo Switch. Clearly, they are looking to expand their potential player base so that no one feels left out of this adventure.

For those eager to jump in, digital pre-orders are now open for the Nintendo Switch, joining the already available pre-orders for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. You can choose between the $59.99 standard edition and a $69.99 Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes cosmetic goodies like the Napdragon Mount, weapon set, and an outfit pack.

Recent gameplay videos showcasing different languages and "Life Spotlight" features emphasize the game's diverse gameplay. From collecting ingredients and cooking to the daily routines of characters like Ai, players get a glimpse into the immersive world awaiting them. Videos highlighting the Cook, Paladin, Carpenter, and Tailor roles further demonstrate the depth of customization and playstyles available.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is a follow-up to the original 3DS title, Fantasy Life, the core gameplay loop involves players venturing onto an island that was previously home to a prosperous civilization. You develop the island through quests and crafting, before being able to time travel back into the past, where they can learn secrets about the island and potentially rewrite history. The game will include fourteen different roles, or Lives, for players to freely change between as they build up their town. It will also include online co-op for up to four players along with multiplatform Cross-Play and Cross-Save.
