Bam Margera Returns to the Grind in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 Remaster
Get ready to ollie, kickflip, and grind your way back to the early 2000s! Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 is set to launch on July 11, 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC, and this time it's bringing back a familiar face: Bam Margera! After some uncertainty, it's now officially confirmed that Margera will be a part of the game, thanks to Tony Hawk's personal intervention.
Margera's involvement was initially questioned due to legal issues, but it turns out, Tony Hawk himself was instrumental in getting him back on board. “Tony called up Activision and was like, ‘Hey, we’re putting Bam in the thing,’ and they were like, ‘Hey, we can’t,’ He goes, ‘No, you’re gonna do it,’ and basically made them fly Bam back out there to get body scanned and everything else, and get him back in the game,” said Roger Bagley, co-host of The Nine Club podcast.
In a behind-the-scenes look, Margera reminisces about his obsession with the second Tony Hawk game: "The second Tony Hawk game, I was so obsessed with playing the game that I was missing flights over it. 'You're gonna miss another flight' and I'm like 'shut up, I'm gonna win'! Finally, After missing six flights I'm like 'I've gotta put this thing away' cause this game is just too much fun." He's clearly excited to jump back in, adding, "I'm gonna have to let myself play video games again, 'cause this one will be well worth it. If I start missing flights again, I know where to put it."
The remastered Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 promises a significant visual upgrade and will feature both online multiplayer and a host of new skaters alongside the classics. Expect to see new faces like Rayssa Leal, Chloe Covell, Jamie Foy, Zion Wright, Nyjah Huston, and Yuto Horigome joining the roster.
The game will also feature iconic levels from both THPS 3 and 4, including:
- Los Angeles: Skate under the Hollywood sign.
- Foundry: An industrial steel mill.
- Canada: A snowy skatepark in Calgary, Alberta.
- Rio: A vibrant competition level in Brazil.
- Suburbia: A Halloween-themed neighborhood.
- College: The sprawling CCHU campus.
- San Francisco: Skate outside the Boardwalk View Hotel.
- Alcatraz: The gritty island prison.
