OnePlus Pad 2 Pro: Flagship Android Tablet Arrives with Powerful Specs and Competitive Price
The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is making waves as the latest contender in the high-end Android tablet market. Boasting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a massive 12,140 mAh battery, and a stunning 13.2-inch display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, this tablet aims to deliver top-tier performance and value. But with its striking resemblance to the Oppo Pad 4 Pro, is it truly a new device or simply a rebrand?
The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro has officially launched in China, following the release of the Pad 2 last summer. Powering the device is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, supported by up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The large 12,140 mAh battery is coupled with 67 W wired charging, mirroring the specifications of the Oppo Pad 4 Pro.

The similarities between the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro and the Oppo Pad 4 Pro are undeniable. With dimensions of 289.9 x 209.7 x 6 mm and a weight of 675 g, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is nearly identical to its Oppo counterpart. This places it in the same size category as the Apple iPad Pro 13.
The 13.2-inch IPS display features a 3,392 x 2,400-pixel native resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and 900 nits peak brightness (HBM). Quad speakers enhance the multimedia experience, and an optional keyboard accessory with a built-in trackpad adds versatility. The tablet also offers Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. On the rear there is a 13 MP shooter and a color spectrum sensor, while the more important front camera used in video calls, is just 8 MP.

OnePlus has equipped the Pad 2 Pro with ColorOS 15, a common choice for OnePlus devices in China. Available in Gray or Navy Blue, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro starts at CNY 3,199 (~$444) for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage configuration, and goes up to CNY 3,999 (~$555) for 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
One of the most attractive aspects of the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is its competitive pricing, especially when compared to other high-end Android tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Apple iPad Pro.The starting price of $444 for the base model is particularly impressive, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers looking for top-tier performance.
While the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is currently only available in China, its impressive specifications and competitive pricing have generated considerable interest globally. Whether it will eventually be released in other markets remains to be seen.
