ASUS Unveils RTX 5080 Lineup: Noctua Edition for Silent Power, DOOM Edition for the Slayer Within
ASUS is making waves in the GPU market with the announcement of two distinct GeForce RTX 5080 models: the Noctua Edition, designed for unparalleled silent cooling, and the limited-edition ROG Astral RTX 5080 DOOM Edition, a tribute to the upcoming game DOOM: The Dark Ages.
The ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua Edition marks a continuation of the collaboration between ASUS and Noctua. This card features three Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 120mm fans, promising exceptional cooling performance with minimal noise. The design includes an optimized vapor chamber and phase-change thermal pads to ensure efficient heat dissipation from the GPU. However, users should note its size: the card occupies a quad-slot configuration. The card also comes with a GPU Guard to help reduce the risk of cracks and ensure stable mounting.

One potential drawback highlighted is the card's color scheme. The signature Noctua brown and gray might not appeal to all users, especially those aiming for a specific aesthetic in their PC builds.
For gamers eagerly awaiting DOOM: The Dark Ages, ASUS is offering a limited run of 666 units of the ROG Astral RTX 5080 DOOM Edition. This card's design is inspired by the game, featuring elements like the Slayer's Skullcrusher weapon (also inspiring fan-made custom PC builds!).

While retaining the RTX 5080 ROG Astral OC specs with a peak clock of 2790 MHz, the DOOM Edition distinguishes itself with a copper-coated heatsink. The card will be available for pre-orders soon. It is bundled with Doom-related accessories and an optional game code for DOOM: The Dark Ages.
Pricing details for both cards remain undisclosed. However, given the limited availability and premium components, the RTX 5080 DOOM Edition is expected to command a significant premium over the standard RTX 5080's MSRP of $999.
With these new offerings, ASUS continues to push the boundaries of GPU design, catering to both performance enthusiasts and dedicated fans of iconic gaming franchises. What are your thoughts on these new RTX 5080 models? Share your opinions in the comments below!
