Blue Prince Wraps Up Development with Final Major Update
Blue Prince, the critically acclaimed puzzle game developed by Dogubomb and published by Raw Fury, is nearing the end of its development journey. According to director Tonda Ros, the upcoming 1.10 update will be the “final major update” and the “definitive version” of the game. This announcement comes alongside the release of patch 1.04.5, which addresses several key issues and prepares the game for its ultimate form.
Ros expressed his desire to create a complete, standalone experience from the start. "It had always been my dream to release a definitive version of the game at launch," he stated in the patch notes. While he's proud of what the team accomplished, the 1.10 update will include the final touches needed to fulfill his vision.

What to expect in the 1.10 update:
The 1.10 patch promises a range of exciting additions. Among them are accessibility features like a color assist mode, controls remapping, cursor size/opacity settings, and widescreen support. Gamers can also anticipate UI/UX improvements, cinematics, variations for end-of-day manor descriptions, HUD display customization, and final room/item balancing. Ros also teased cryptic additions like “an overhyped arcade game” and “a curious house cat,” injecting a dose of mystery into the update.
In the short term, players can look forward to bug-fixing patches released intermittently leading up to 1.10. Ros emphasized the commitment to fixing bugs "for far, far into the future."
Patch 1.04.5 Addresses Critical Save Bug on PS5
One of the most significant improvements brought by the recently-released patch 1.04.5 is the fix for the PlayStation 5 save rollback issue. This bug, which prevented players from saving progress after around day 100, has now been resolved. Ros explained that the issue was due to "a duplication of save data causing new save information to time out."
While unsaved progress won't be recovered, players can now continue past the point where the bug was encountered. Additionally, patch 1.04.5 addresses other bugs, including those that caused players to lose steps and prevented them from entering the highest rank.
No DLC on the horizon
For fans hoping for downloadable content, Ros has clarified that there are no plans for DLC or new content following the 1.10 update. This means that what you see in 1.10 is what you get: a complete and polished experience.
Blue Prince is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S and is part of the Game Pass Ultimate and PS Plus Extra game catalogs. Jump in now and enjoy the experience before it is finalized.
