BMW Concept Speedtop: From Concept to Reality, a Luxurious Shooting Brake Limited to 70 Units
The BMW Concept Speedtop has officially transitioned from a breathtaking concept car to a limited-production reality. Following the warm reception of last year's Skytop convertible, BMW is set to produce just 70 units of this stunning shooting brake, offering an exclusive vehicle for its most discerning clientele.
The Speedtop made its debut at the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy, immediately captivating the audience with its sleek design and luxurious features. This move highlights BMW's commitment to bringing unique visions to life.

The front end echoes the design of the Skytop, featuring thin, squinting headlights and a prominent kidney grille. However, the distinctive feature is the shooting brake roofline, extending gracefully to the rear and culminating in a sleek hatchback. Crisp character lines and muscular rear haunches enhance the Speedtop's athletic stance.
The Speedtop sports a striking color gradient, with the Floating Sunstone Maroon paint elegantly merging into Floating Sundown Silver. A small metal spine runs from the hood, over the roof, and onto the rear spoiler, incorporating the same gradient paint effect. The unique 14-spoke wheels complement the overall design.

Inside, the Speedtop exudes opulence with copious amounts of leather. The upper section is finished in Sundown Maroon, while the lower portions of the cabin are adorned in Moonstone White. Instead of rear seats, the Speedtop features dedicated storage for a set of matching bags, meticulously crafted by Italian leather specialists, Schedoni.
Under the hood, BMW remains discreet but confirms the Speedtop is equipped with the most powerful V-8 engine currently offered. Speculation suggests it's the twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8, producing around 617 horsepower.
"Last year, the presentation of the BMW Concept Skytop at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on Lake Como generated great enthusiasm among connoisseurs and automotive enthusiasts," said Bernd Körber, Senior Vice President BMW Brand and Product Management. "This led to a strictly limited production run of 50 units. Thanks to this positive response, this year we have decided to also offer the BMW Concept Speedtop in a limited production series of 70 units. This extraordinary vehicle is now available for order. We are pleased to be able to offer collectors and enthusiasts another exclusive model."
While the price remains undisclosed, industry experts estimate it to be around $500,000. With only 70 units planned, the BMW Concept Speedtop is poised to become a highly coveted collector's item.
