Call of Duty Season 4 Plagued with Bugs: Loadouts Disabled, Ranked Play Delayed
The latest season of Call of Duty, Season 4 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, launched recently and has been anything but smooth. Players across all platforms have reported a barrage of issues, ranging from stability problems to disabled features, impacting both the free-to-play battle royale Warzone and the premium multiplayer of Black Ops 6.
Typically, new seasons bring a few bugs, but Season 4 seems to have taken it to another level. Within 24 hours of launch, the official Call of Duty Updates social media account announced that multiple features were being disabled due to performance issues. These included editing custom loadouts in the pre-match lobby in Warzone and Black Ops 6's theater mode. Zombies players also reported issues with traversal mechanics like fast travel and ascenders.
One of the first casualties was the Motherclucker blueprint for the ASG-82. Furthermore, Ranked Play for Black Ops 6 Multiplayer, which had been disabled during the launch of Season 3, was re-enabled amid the Season 4 chaos. However, the highly anticipated Ranked Play: Battle Royale for Warzone was delayed.
"We've decided to delay Ranked Play: Battle Royale while we work on bringing the experience back to its intended fidelity," the team stated on social media.
Despite the setbacks, the Call of Duty team released updates to address the stability issues. Following an update that seemingly fixed hitching and stuttering in Warzone, Ranked Play: Battle Royale was momentarily re-enabled.

To help players navigate the shifting meta, new weapon loadouts have been recommended. The Season 4 battle pass introduces the new LC10 submachine gun and the FFAR1 assault rifle, both considered powerful options. Other notable weapons include the Krig C, Swat 5.56 (Grau conversion), and HDR for long-range engagements.
Here are some weapon build recommendations to aid in your success in Warzone:
- FFAR1: Optic: Volzhskiy Reflex, Muzzle: Compensator, Barrel: Gain-Twist Barrel
- Krig C: Optic: Volzhskiy Reflex, Muzzle: Compensator, Barrel: Gain-Twist Barrel
- LC10: Muzzle: Compensator, Barrel: Long Barrel, Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip

Season 4 brings new maps, modes, and content. Stitch returns as a new operator available through the Battle Pass and three new Multiplayer maps—Shutdown, Fugitive, and Blitz—make their debut. Team Elimination, a new game mode combining elements of Kill Confirmed and Control, is also introduced.
Three new weapons arrive in Season 4: the LC10 SMG and FFAR 1 assault rifle (Battle Pass unlocks) and the Essex Model 07 marksman rifle (in-season event reward). These weapons are expected to significantly impact the Multiplayer and Warzone meta.
Additionally, a new skyscraper POI called "The Overlook" has been added to Verdansk, offering a significant height advantage for players who control it.
With the rocky start to Season 4, it remains to be seen how quickly the Call of Duty team can resolve the ongoing issues. Will the delayed features return soon? How will the new weapons and maps affect the competitive landscape? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below!
