So much so, that one resourceful fan has already deciphered the game's secret "Bananabet," months before its official release. YouTuber 2Chrispy, known for his keen eye and dedication to detail, took on the challenge of decoding the mysterious banana-like glyphs featured in Donkey Kong Bananza's trailers, gameplay footage, and even the Nintendo Today app. Inspired by similar hidden languages in games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, 2Chrispy suspected Nintendo had once again hidden a secret alphabet within their game.

The breakthrough came with the "Chip Exchange" sign featured in the game. Remembering the Nintendo Treehouse presentation, where the phrase "Trade these for bananas at any Chip Exchange" appeared when collecting a Banandium Chip, 2Chrispy recognized the symbol for the chip above the sign. Noticing the text beneath this symbol had the same number of characters as "Exchange," and started and ended with the same symbol, he began piecing together his "Bananabet".

Through meticulous observation and pattern recognition, 2Chrispy successfully translated several words, including "Welcome" and "Hint." One in-game sign even revealed the message: "Message. Thank you for reading. Someone." This dedication showcases the community's passion for Nintendo and their games.

As of now, 2Chrispy has decoded most of the alphabet, leaving only five letters (B, J, Q, V, and Z) remaining.
