Galaxy Z Fold 7 Leaks: Titanium Hinges, Thinner Design, and a Possible Icy Blue Debut
The rumor mill is churning at full speed! Recent leaks are hinting at significant upgrades for Samsung's next generation of foldable phones. The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 is poised to make a splash with potential design changes and enhanced durability, with one source even suggesting an 'Icy Blue' color option.
One of the most exciting rumors surrounds the use of titanium hinges in both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the previously speculated tri-fold phone, possibly named the Galaxy G Fold. According to a report by The Elec, this upgrade could lead to a slimmer and more durable design. Interestingly, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is not expected to receive the titanium hinge, possibly to differentiate the premium offerings and manage costs.

An alleged real-life image of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, shared by Weibo-based leaker Setsuna Digital, further fuels the excitement.

Rumors also point towards a larger display, with the Z Fold 7 potentially measuring 8.2 inches when unfolded and 6.5 inches when folded. Specifications circulating suggest that the new model will offer enhancements such as a 200MP main camera (up from 50MP), a thinner profile, and the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset can also be expected. Furthermore, the display digitizer might be removed to enable the handset to be thinner than ever.
The move towards titanium aligns with a recent trend in smartphones, offering lightness and durability. Keep an eye out for a possible Galaxy Unpacked event in July, where Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and possibly the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Will the new design and upgraded materials be enough to put the Z Fold 7 ahead of the foldable competition going into 2025?
