GTA 6: Soundtrack Heats Up with New Trailer Tracks – Will These Songs Define Vice City’s Vibe?

The hype for GTA 6 is reaching fever pitch, and a major part of that excitement revolves around its soundtrack. With the release of the two trailers, fans are dissecting every musical note to get a sense of the game's atmosphere and potential storylines. What songs have been confirmed so far, and how do they reflect the vibe of the new Vice City?

Rockstar Games has a long history of curating iconic soundtracks that become synonymous with their Grand Theft Auto titles. From the synth-pop of Flash FM in Vice City to the country twang of K-Rose in San Andreas, music has always been an integral part of the GTA experience. Now, with GTA 6 on the horizon, the burning question is: what tunes will define this new chapter?

GTA 6: Will these music tracks define the mood of Vice City?

The first trailer dropped in late 2023, immediately sending shockwaves through the gaming world. The featured track, Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road", not only set a nostalgic tone, perfectly aligning with the return to a Vice City-esque setting, but also saw a massive 36,000% spike in Spotify streams after the trailer's release. The lyrics, hinting at a tumultuous relationship, further fueled speculation about the dynamic between the game's protagonists, Lucia and Jason.

But it was the second trailer, released in May 2025, that really expanded the musical landscape. This trailer introduced several tracks, hinting at the diversity players can expect. Here's a breakdown of the confirmed songs:

  • "Hot Together" by The Pointer Sisters: This funky 80s track injects a vibrant and energetic feel, resulting in a staggering 182,000% increase in Spotify streams.
  • "Thunder Island" by Jay Ferguson: A smooth yacht rock tune creates a laid-back contrast to the game's anticipated high-octane action.
  • "Child Support" by Zenglen: This Kompa track adds a Caribbean flavor, reflecting the cultural influences of the game's Miami-inspired setting.
  • "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" by Wang Chung
  • "Talkin’ To Myself Again" by Tammy Wynette

Beyond the officially featured tracks, rumors are swirling about other potential additions to the soundtrack. Some fans believe they've identified a familiar sound in the Ammu-Nation scene of the trailer: "I Love Rock N Roll" by Joan Jett. While the version in the trailer might be a cover, its inclusion would definitely add to the game's rock and roll edge.

Moreover, leaks have suggested that DJ Khaled might host his own radio station within the game, potentially showcasing some of his own tracks. This echoes Rockstar's history of including diverse musical voices in their games and GTA 5 famously had a station hosted by Frank Ocean. There was even a rumor about Joe Rogan having a radio station, but it's more likely that Rockstar would parody the JRE.

Considering GTA V's expansive soundtrack with over 500 songs, it’s safe to assume that GTA 6 will offer a similarly diverse and immersive listening experience. As we get closer to the release date on May 26, 2026, more musical surprises are sure to surface.
