Infinity Nikki Update: Multiplayer Mode and Free Rewards Arrive, Can It Revitalize Player Spending?
Infinity Nikki, Infold Games' open-world fashion RPG, is rolling out its Version 1.5 update, dubbed 'Bubble Season', bringing a much-anticipated multiplayer mode and a wealth of free rewards. But will this update be enough to reinvigorate player spending after a period of decline?
The update, launching April 29th, introduces co-op gameplay to the new Sea of Stars zone. Players can now team up with friends for real-time shared experiences, including teleporting to each other, posing for photos, and tackling new challenges together.
One of the most interesting additions is the Bubble Trails gameplay, where stylists must coordinate and use bubble props to guide each other through hidden paths. Bubble Escort introduces another cooperative element, tasking duos with protecting a delicate bubble through a hazardous course.
According to AppMagic data, this emphasis on co-op comes after four months of declining player spending on the mobile version. While Infinity Nikki initially surpassed $16 million in its first 30 days on mobile, it has struggled to maintain that level of earnings. In March, the game generated $6.9 million, and April has seen only $3.6 million in revenue so far.
In addition to the multiplayer features, Version 1.5 will introduce new events and outfits for Nikki, including two limited five-star outfits and five free costumes. Players will also gain the ability to dye parts of outfits, further expanding customization options. InFold is also promising the “equivalent of a total of 100 pulls” in rewards, offering a chance for players to acquire new items without spending Diamonds.
