Intel Teases Potential Arc B770 Battlemage GPU Launch at Computex 2025 Amidst RTX 5060 and RX 9060 XT Competition

Is Intel about to shake up the GPU market? Rumors are swirling that Intel might introduce its Arc "B770" Battlemage GPU at Computex 2025, potentially alongside new Arc Pro GPUs. The buzz intensified after Intel responded to user inquiries about the B770 with a coy "stay tuned," fueling speculation that a higher-end Battlemage card could be unveiled soon.

The whispers began when Intel announced its upcoming Arc Professional GPUs at Computex, scheduled for May 20-23 in Taipei. Gamers quickly flooded the thread with requests for a more powerful Battlemage Arc GPU to succeed the Alchemist-based Arc A770. Intel's suggestive replies, particularly to queries about the Arc B770, have ignited hope for a competitor against budget-friendly options like the GeForce RTX 5060/5060 Ti and RX 9060 XT.

The Arc B770, if it exists, is rumored to leverage the larger BMG-31 die. This would represent a considerable performance leap over the current top-tier Battlemage B580 GPU. While Intel hasn't officially confirmed the B770, the "stay tuned" response has sent the tech community into overdrive. Could this be an unfortunate marketing mishap, or is Intel genuinely gearing up to enter the affordable desktop GPU arena?

Adding fuel to the fire, reports indicate that an Intel GPU partner is developing a custom dual-GPU Intel Arc B580 graphics card. This ambitious project purportedly features a staggering 48GB of VRAM – exceeding even the expected specifications of the RTX 5090. Such a card would be very unusual in the market.

While multi-GPU configurations have historically struggled to gain mainstream adoption in gaming, this particular dual-B580 card is speculated to target AI workloads, where the demand for processing power and VRAM is exceptionally high. The partner has remained tight-lipped, citing a non-disclosure agreement.

The dual-GPU Arc B580 card will supposedly be a highlight at Computex 2025. Unlike typical designs using Intel's reference model, this custom card would incorporate two Intel Arc B580 GPUs on a single board with a total of 48GB VRAM (24GB per GPU). Current Arc B580 cards ship with 12GB VRAM, which adds to the mystery around the new product's capabilities.

As Computex 2025 approaches, the anticipation surrounding Intel's potential GPU announcements is reaching a fever pitch. Will Intel deliver a true contender in the budget GPU market with the Arc B770? Or will the unconventional dual-GPU B580 steal the show? Only time will tell.
