Nintendo Offers Galactic Adventure with Free Star Wars Game Trials for Switch Online Members
Prepare for hyperspace! Nintendo is offering a stellar treat for Nintendo Switch Online members just in time for Star Wars Day (May the 4th). From April 30th to May 6th, subscribers can download and play two classic Star Wars games at no additional cost: STAR WARS™: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles™ and Star Wars™: Bounty Hunter™.

Jedi Power Battles plunges players into the heart of The Phantom Menace, allowing them to wield the Force and lightsabers against legions of battle droids. Meanwhile, Bounty Hunter lets you step into the boots of the legendary Jango Fett as he hunts down a dangerous Dark Jedi through the galaxy's underbelly. Armed with dual blasters, a flamethrower, and whipcord, the hunt is on!
These aren't just any games; they're remastered versions of classics. As Nintendo Life points out, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter originally graced the PlayStation 2 and GameCube, and Jedi Power Battles was found on the PlayStation and Dreamcast. While reviewers like Jim Norman gave them a mixed reception upon release, citing outdated mechanics, the charm of these games and the opportunity to play them for free makes them a worthwhile experience, especially for Star Wars enthusiasts.
The perks don't stop there. Nintendo Switch Online membership also includes online play with friends, save data backup for compatible games, and voice chat via the smartphone app. And if you enjoy the Game Trial so much that you want to purchase one or both of the games, all save data will be carried over.
This Game Trial offer is available to Nintendo Switch Online members in North America from April 30th at 10 a.m. PT to May 6th at 11:59 p.m. PT. Don't miss out on this chance to experience classic Star Wars adventures!
