NVIDIA DLSS 4 Revolutionizes Gaming: Crimson Desert, DOOM, and More!
NVIDIA DLSS 4 is taking the gaming world by storm, and the latest announcements from Computex 2025 highlight its transformative impact. With over 125 games and applications already featuring DLSS 4, NVIDIA has unveiled partnerships with several high-profile titles, promising gamers unparalleled performance and visual fidelity. From enhanced ray tracing to AI-driven upscaling, here’s what you need to know about the DLSS 4 revolution.

Crimson Desert, the highly anticipated open-world action-adventure game from Pearl Abyss, will launch with full support for DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, ray tracing, and NVIDIA Reflex. According to Kyungjoon Cho, Head of Game Engine System Division, NVIDIA's graphics technologies ensure players experience the continent of Pywel with "high-quality graphics and smooth gameplay." Keita Iida, Vice President of Developer Relations at NVIDIA, added that the integration of ray tracing and DLSS 4 brings the game world to life with "breathtaking visuals, lightning-fast responsiveness, and exceptional frame rates."
DOOM: The Dark Ages is also set to receive a significant upgrade, introducing immersive path-traced effects and DLSS Ray Reconstruction in June. This upgrade will dramatically enhance image quality for PC gamers. NVIDIA's Spatial Hash Radiance Cache (SHaRC) technology will be leveraged to compute path-traced light efficiently, while NVIDIA Shader Execution Reordering will further accelerate performance on GeForce RTX GPUs. The update also promises to enhance image quality using DLSS Ray Reconstruction.
F1® 25, launching on May 27th, will feature path tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, along with Frame Generation, Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, and Reflex. Gamers can expect significantly improved realism and immersion, particularly through the game's enhanced ray-traced effects. Using a GeForce RTX GPU allows the activation of DLSS Ray Reconstruction, to further increase the fidelity and stability of ray tracing and path tracing.
Remedy Entertainment's new game, FBC: Firebreak, is set to debut on June 17th with a full suite of NVIDIA DLSS technologies, including DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, Frame Generation, Super Resolution, DLAA, Reflex, and path tracing. This three-player cooperative first-person shooter promises to deliver jaw-dropping visuals and is set in the Federal Bureau of Control, reclaimed from invaders in the game, Control.
Other notable titles incorporating DLSS 4 include Dune: Awakening, launching in early June, and MindsEye, an action/adventure game due out on June 10th. Additionally, inZOI, KRAFTON's life simulation game, will receive its DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation update in August. The new trailer demonstrates Light of Motiram running at over 400 frames per second with Multi Frame Generation, Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and Reflex.
The performance gains from DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation are remarkable. By generating up to three additional frames per traditionally rendered frame, it multiplies frame rates significantly. This allows gamers on GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards and laptops to max out visuals at the highest resolutions and play at incredible frame rates. NVIDIA reports frame rate increases of up to 8X over traditional rendering.
Existing games are also getting in on the action. Portal with RTX has been upgraded from DLSS 3.5 to DLSS 4, with updated Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction models. The game now supports Neural Radiance Cache, leveraging AI to infer rays and bounces from a limited set of indirect lights, further improving performance. These upgrades have resulted in the GeForce RTX 5090 running Portal with RTX at an average of 277 frames per second with full ray tracing enabled, according to NVIDIA tests.
The rapid adoption of DLSS 4 underscores its importance in modern gaming. With support available in over 125 games and apps, and new titles continually being added, GeForce RTX gamers can expect to experience unparalleled performance and visual fidelity. The integration of technologies like ray tracing and AI-driven upscaling enhances image quality and responsiveness, ensuring the best possible gaming experience.
