Phasmophobia’s “Chronicle” Update: New Ghost Hunting Tools and Eerie Surprises Arrive June 24th!

Get ready for a chilling update! Kinetic Games is set to unleash the highly anticipated "Chronicle" update for Phasmophobia on June 24th, bringing a host of new features, revamped systems, and plenty of spooky surprises. Described as the game's "biggest update yet," Chronicle promises to overhaul the ghost-hunting experience from the ground up.

The core of this update revolves around a complete re-imagining of evidence collection. Prepare yourselves for three brand new evidence types, including the groundbreaking Sound evidence. This new evidence type can be captured using the innovative three-tiered Sound Recorder. This equipment allows players to detect hidden layers of audio from ghostly events, Spirit Box responses, and Paranormal Sounds using the Parabolic Microphone and much more.

Phasmophobia's biggest update yet called ‘Chronicle’ will be released in June

The evidence journal is also getting a major facelift. Players can now expect it to be reorganized into a brand-new Media tab! That’s right, the Photos tab will be replaced within the journal with the new Media tab that will separate captured evidence into three sections: Photos, Videos, and those new Sound Recordings. Kinetic Games is setting a higher bar when it comes to what makes a “perfect investagation”. It's no longer about just snapping a few photos; investigators that are hunting for ghosts will require a full book of captured media to complete a perfect investigation. These inclusions will include new paranormal moments to capture, from EMF spikes to ghostly interactions and fleeting glimpses of otherworldly forms.

Key features of the "Chronicle" update include:

  • Three New Evidence Types: Expanding investigation possibilities.
  • New Equipment: Introducing the Sound Recorder and its tiered upgrades.
  • Redesigned Journal: A Media tab that is more organized and immersive.
  • Revamped Media Quality System: Unique captures yield larger rewards, while duplicates yield smaller, creating a more strategic incentive for gathering evidence.
  • Reworked Leveling and Progression: A fresh experience for veteran players.
  • Refreshed UI: A new Main Menu is designed to improve navigability.

In addition, Kinetic Games is also reworking the levelling and progression system. Furthermore, the Phasmophobia team has been working behind the scenes to hunt down and excise a variety of bugs, polishing the experience for players.

Fans will also be pleased to know that the **Grafton Farmhouse** revamp (following Bleasdale Farmhouse’s recent overhaul) is underway. Expect updated visuals, redesigned layouts, re-themed rooms, and a "haunting new attic." The revamped Grafton Farmhouse will be available for players after the release of "Chronicle" so stay tuned!

Are you ready to dive back into the paranormal and experience Phasmophobia like never before? The "Chronicle" update arrives on June 24th for PC via Steam, PS5, PS VR2 and Xbox Series X/S. Get ready to record, investigate, and face your fears!
