Pokémon GO’s June Events: Galarian Birds, GO Fest, and Gigantamax Pokémon!
Pokémon GO is gearing up for a thrilling June with a flurry of events that promise exciting encounters and rare Pokémon. From the elusive Galarian Birds to the highly anticipated GO Fest, players have plenty to look forward to. Get ready to dive into the details of what's coming!
One of the most enticing offers is the opportunity to snag the sought-after Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres via a paid-for encounter. For $8, players can choose one of these trio to encounter through Timed Research ticket. Normally, these creatures are ultra-rare spawns from Pokémon GO's Daily Adventure Incense, making this a golden opportunity to complete your collection.

These Galarian forms have been available since July 2022, but their rarity and difficulty to catch have made them prime targets for players' coveted Master Balls. With the Fleeting Legends Ticket available from June 23rd to 29th timed with Ancients Discovered event, you can guarantee a catch (just be sure you have the Pokeballs to burn).
Speaking of the Ancients Discovered event, it brings back the Regi Legendary family to Raids, including Special Backgrounds for the first time. Additionally, the game's recently raised Remote Raid Cap will temporarily receive a boost from 30 from 23rd to 26th June, and then to no limit over the weekend of 27th to 29th June.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! Summer brings the Delightful Days season, rapidly approaching GO Fest. It features the debut of Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta at GO Fest, the Legendary Pokemon featured at this year's GO Fest. Both forms of Zacian and Zamazenta should be incredibly meta relevant in both PvP and Raids. By defeating Zacian and Zamazenta in Raids, you will earn a new form of energy that is specific to each Pokemon transformation.
Volcanion makes its Pokemon GO Debut at GO Fest. Pokemon featured at GO Fest in previous years have been some of the most relevant in the entire game and have included Mega Rayquaza and Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Necrozma. At GO Fest: Global, trainers who have purchased the event ticket will be granted a Special Research story that rewards Volcanion, the steam Pokemon. Trainers are limited to one Volcanion per account and it will not be shiny.
Two new Pokemon are getting their Shiny debuts in Pokemon GO. Appearing in the Moonless Volcano habitat, you have the chance to catch Shiny Carbink for the first time ever. Also, appearing in the Hypnotic Tundra habitat, you can catch Shiny Frigibax for the first time.
The Delightful Days season also introduces new Gigantamax Pokémon. Inteleon and Cinderace will make their debut in June, along with new Pokemon from the Galar, Hisui, and Paldea regions. Expect Community Days in June, July and August. On top of that, the game will offer a handful of in-game bonuses all season long, including increased XP for your first catch of the day, as well as new stickers, Research tasks, and a host of different in-game events.
Shadow Regice will feature on weekends throughout June, and for the first time, Remote Raid Passes can be used to battle it. Making Shadow Legendaries much more accessible.
Mega Raids will showcase five different Pokémon throughout June: Mega Altaria, Mega Abomasnow, Mega Manectric, Mega Beedrill, and Mega Aggron. Each will be available for a specific timeframe, so plan accordingly.
With such a packed schedule, June promises to be an unforgettable month for Pokemon GO trainers. Which events are you most looking forward to? Share your thoughts and strategies in the comments below!
