Get ready, Trainers! Nintendo has officially announced the release date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A: October 16th. But the excitement doesn't stop there! A Nintendo Switch 2 edition is also in the works, promising enhanced graphics and frame rates. This news has sent waves of anticipation through the Pokémon community, making it one of the most talked-about upcoming releases.

The official announcement highlights that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will launch across both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. According to Pokémon social media, players who opt for the Switch 2 Edition can expect "improved graphics and frame rates". The digital and physical versions of Pokemon Legends Z-A can reportedly be upgraded to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition via an upgrade pack.

Pre-orders for Pokémon Legends: Z-A will begin on June 5th via the Nintendo eShop. And that's not all – mark your calendars for July 22nd! The Pokémon Company will be holding a Pokémon Presents presentation, giving fans a deeper dive into the game. Expect to see details on new monsters, story elements and more.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is set in Lumiose City and promises to be a new frontier for the Pokémon video game series. It promises a blend of RPG storytelling with action elements, and a real-time battle system. "Trainers can look forward to the beginning of a new adventure in Lumiose City - one woven by people and Pokémon together!", Nintendo noted.

Adding to the overall hype, new mega evolution merchandise is coming to the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom starting May 28th. Giant pins featuring Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y join a capsule collection featuring Mega Venusaur, Mega Gengar, Mega Lucario, and more.
