Pokemon TCG Pocket: Sneak Peek Returns & Fans Demand Permanence
Pokemon TCG Pocket players are in a frenzy, and for good reason! The popular "Sneak Peek" event, which significantly boosts the odds of snagging desired cards in Wonder Picks, has made a comeback. But the burning question on everyone's mind: why isn't this amazing feature permanent?

The Sneak Peek promotion allows players a limited-time opportunity to peek at one of the concealed cards in a Wonder Pick, effectively raising the odds of obtaining a desired card from 20% to 40%. This simple magnifying glass has sparked joy and ignited a debate within the Pokemon TCG Pocket community.
Wonder Picks, typically offering a one-in-five chance of getting the desired card, leave players often frustrated due to the inherent randomness. As one fan put it, the randomness “can make cards feel even more elusive.” With the Sneak Peek feature, however, the odds are significantly improved, making the process less frustrating and more rewarding.
The return of Sneak Peek, which runs from May 5th to May 12th, has been met with widespread approval.
But the demand doesn't stop there. Social media is buzzing with players urging DeNA and Creatures Inc., the developers of Pokemon TCG Pocket, to make Sneak Peek a permanent fixture. Fans argue that the increased success rate makes the game more enjoyable and less dependent on sheer luck. Some players have even speculated whether the game automatically grants the same card regardless of the player’s choice, but Sneak Peek would resolve it by “force the game to offer a choice between two different cards at minimum per Wonder Pick”.

Adding to the excitement is the ongoing Wonder Pick Event, which runs from May 9th to May 19th. This event introduces special Chansey Picks and Bonus Picks, including the coveted Cosmog and Lycanroc promos. Players can also earn Event Shop Tickets to redeem for Solgaleo-themed accessories, perfect for customizing decks.
The Wonder Pick Event comes with a series of missions, offering event-specific currencies and the chance to acquire unique accessories.
The developers have shown a willingness to listen to player feedback in the past. The team is planning big changes to trading in Pokemon TCG Pocket by the end of autumn.
Will DeNA and Creatures Inc. yield to the fans' desires and make the Sneak Peek feature a permanent addition to Pokemon TCG Pocket? Only time will tell. But one thing is clear: the community has spoken, and they want better odds!
