Razer Unveils Thinnest Blade 14 Yet, Packs RTX 5070 Powerhouse
Razer has just announced a significant upgrade to its laptop lineup with the new Blade 14, now its thinnest and lightest laptop to date. This powerhouse combines portability with serious gaming and content creation capabilities, directly challenging rivals like the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14. Let's delve into what makes this new release a game-changer.

The 2025 Blade 14 boasts an 11% reduction in both thickness and weight compared to its predecessor, measuring in at just 0.62 to 0.64 inches thick and weighing a mere 3.59 pounds. Despite its slim profile, Razer hasn't compromised on power. You can configure it with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, delivering its full 115W TGP thanks to a redesigned thermal system. This "intelligent thermal hood design" ensures that the laptop stays cool even under intense workloads. What’s more is the fact that this new design language is similar to its bigger sibling, the Blade 16.
Under the hood, the Blade 14 features an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 CPU, a 10-core, 20-thread processor with a boost clock of up to 5.0GHz, making it a Microsoft Copilot+ PC. This also means the laptop has a dedicated Copilot key. It also offers up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 2TB of storage. Although the RAM is soldered in, the NVMe SSD slot is user-accessible for upgrades.
The display is a vibrant 14-inch 3K 120Hz OLED panel with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 400 nits brightness, and 0.2ms response time. This Calman Verified display caters to both gamers and content creators, offering excellent color accuracy. Plus, Razer Synapse software supports sRGB, DCI-P3, and AdobeRGB color profiles. One of the small downgrades compared to the Blade 16 however, is that this model uses a MicroSD card slot.
Connectivity is also well-covered, with two USB4 ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a UHS-II microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. The laptop also features Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support.
Razer claims the battery can last up to 11 hours of video playback, thanks in part to the efficiency of the OLED screen. A six-speaker system with THX Spatial Audio providing 7.1 virtual surround sound ensures immersive audio experiences.
The Razer Blade 14 starts at $2,299 for the RTX 5060 variant, scaling up to $2,999 with RTX 5070 and 64GB RAM. One can also find a new configuration for the Blade 16 starting at $2,399 that will run on the RTX 5060 GPU. The Mercury White colorway is exclusive to the U.S., U.K., and Germany.
With its blend of power and portability, the new Razer Blade 14 sets a new standard for gaming and content creation laptops. What do you think about Razer's new offering? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
