Super Mario Party Jamboree: A Next-Gen Party on Nintendo Switch 2?

Get ready to party like never before! Super Mario Party Jamboree is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on July 24th, promising an even bigger and more interactive experience than its predecessor. But is it just a simple port, or does it truly leverage the power of Nintendo's new console?

The new edition, aptly named Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV, aims to expand on the original's fun with new features and game modes designed specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2. One of the biggest additions is CameraPlay, which allows players to put themselves directly into the game using a compatible camera. Imagine seeing your friends' faces react in real-time as they either triumph or suffer hilarious defeats – a unique and engaging way to play.

Here's a breakdown of what Nintendo is bringing to the party:

Mario Party Mode with a Twist: CameraPlay isn't the only new feature. Gamers can also delve into Tag-Team Rules, teaming up to collect coins and stars, utilizing a special Together Dice for strategic warping. For those seeking quicker thrills, Frenzy Rules throws everyone into chaos with starting coins, items, and a Star, demanding rapid strategic thinking.

Bowser Live: Become the star of the show! Players can now appear on stage with Bowser himself in a series of mini-games and challenges. The fate of the player will be determined by inhouse antics from the host himself. The game will utilise user's built-in microphone. Will you earn applause or the King of the Koopa's wrath?

Carnival Coaster: HD Rumble 2 and Mouse Controls! Nintendo Switch 2 will be coming with a new level of rumble mechanics to feel bumps and grumbles of the coaster. Players can compete to pick off enemies and compete in new minigames. Coasters include: Carnival Coaster, Volcano Coaster, Haunted Coaster, Sky-High Coaster and Trial Coaster.
