T-Mobile Teams Up with Samsung to Offer Rugged Galaxy XCover7 Pro

T-Mobile is bolstering its Android device selection with the addition of the Samsung Galaxy XCover7 Pro, a durable smartphone designed for challenging environments. Announced just a month ago by Samsung, this rugged phone is now available through T-Mobile, specifically catering to first responders and those requiring a reliable device for demanding jobs.

The Galaxy XCover7 Pro is certified for T-Mobile's T-Priority service. Customers looking to acquire this robust smartphone have multiple options. New customers can snag the Galaxy XCover7 Pro for free (or up to $600 off an eligible Samsung device) by adding a new line on a Business Unlimited Advanced plan – no trade-in needed. Existing T-Mobile customers can also benefit, securing the device for free (or up to $800 off an eligible device) when trading in an eligible device on an eligible Business Unlimited plan.

But what makes the Galaxy XCover7 Pro deserving of the “rugged” moniker? Its design is built to withstand drops, shocks, extreme temperatures, and vibrations. The responsive touchscreen is even operable with gloves (up to 2mm thick), and a dedicated button provides instant access to push-to-talk (PTT) calls.

The device boasts an IP6X/IPX8 certification, ensuring it's both dustproof and waterproof (capable of submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes). Furthermore, it meets MIL-STD-810H standards, a rigorous testing protocol established by the US military to assess device limitations.

Under the hood, the Galaxy XCover7 Pro features a 6.6-inch TFT LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, coupled with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual camera setup on the back (50 MP main + 8 MP ultra-wide), along with the 13-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is fueled by a replaceable 4,350 mAh battery.

Additional features include dual-SIM support, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, face recognition, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a fingerprint sensor, and a programmable XCover key.

The partnership between T-Mobile and Samsung demonstrates a focus on providing durable and reliable devices for professionals and individuals who require a phone that can withstand challenging conditions. With its robust design and competitive features, the Samsung Galaxy XCover7 Pro is poised to be a popular choice among T-Mobile customers.
