Toyota GR Supra Bids Farewell with A90 Final Edition and Lightweight Evo: A Performance Swan Song
The Toyota GR Supra is gearing up for its final act, and it's going out with a bang! Toyota is introducing two special editions for the European market: the A90 Final Edition and the Lightweight Evo. These models represent the pinnacle of the current generation, offering enhanced performance and distinctive styling, marking the end of an era. Let's dive into what makes these farewell versions so special.
A90 Final Edition: The Ultimate Supra
The A90 Final Edition is a limited-production model, with only 300 units available for Japan and Europe. It boasts a significant power upgrade, pushing the BMW Z4-sourced turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine to 429 horsepower (320 kW / 435 PS) and 420 lb-ft of torque.

This power boost comes courtesy of a revised air intake, a low-back-pressure catalyst, and tuned-up engine controls. To ensure optimal performance on the track and normal driving, Toyota has also added a baffle plate in the oil pan for even oil distribution during track sessions, enhanced cooling, and a tricked-out active differential.
The A90 Final Edition features an Akrapovic titanium exhaust promising an enhanced listening experience. Toyota Gazoo Racing upgraded the chassis setup with a KW suspension with adjustable dampening. They also strengthened the front and rear stabilizers and other suspension components while increasing the wheels' camber angle. It rides on lightweight 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for massive traction.
Visually, expect a carbon fiber swan neck rear spoiler, a vented hood, a revised splitter with canards, and dual tailpipes that produce an afterburner-like effect. Inside, are a pair of carbon fiber Recaro sports seats, wrapped in Alcantara.
Lightweight Evo: Subtle Enhancements for Driving Purity

The Lightweight Evo (known as "Track Edition" in Australia) focuses on improved aerodynamics, chassis upgrades, and weight reduction.
Exterior upgrades include a ducktail spoiler and updated front fender vents to improve airflow.. It rides on 19-inch wheels in matte black, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Inside, we have Alcantara upholstery, red stitching, and matching seatbelts. The electronically-controlled shock absorbers have been revised, and hardware changes strengthen the suspension: the rubber bushings, rubber mounts, stabilizers, and underfloor bracing contribute to higher rigidity and better handling. Moreover, a new active differential control offers improved traction and reduced understeer.
The turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine produces 382 hp (285 kW / 387 PS) and 369 lb-ft of torque. Drivers can choose from a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
American Market: A Different Farewell
For North American buyers, the 2026 GR Supra lineup will include the 3.0 and 3.0 Premium trims, as well as a special Final Edition model exclusive to the U.S. While this Final Edition doesn’t get any power upgrades, it features a revised chassis setup and extra aerodynamic parts for a sportier edge.
A Legacy Continues
Toyota has stated that the GR Supra will continue to be prominent in motorsports even after the current edition ends which could mean good things are still coming. While the A90 GR Supra concludes its run, Toyota has already confirmed that a new generation is in development giving Supra fans something to look forward to.
